If my two business partners and I didn’t have access to corrective eyewear, suffice it to say, you wouldn’t be reading this blog right now. Instead of running a business, we’d be bumping into walls (at best) or getting run over by a bus (at worst). But more than 1 billion people in the developing world struggle every day without access to prescription lenses. That’s why the campaign that Indivijual Custom Eyewear is participating in today for World Sight Day is so close to our hearts.
Of course, we already think Indivijual is pretty cool because of their innovative business model–custom-designed eyewear made just for each person’s face. But here’s something even cooler: Starting today, for every custom frame a customer purchases, Indivijual will donate a new pair of adjustable prescription eyeglasses to a person in need of corrective glasses in the developing world as part of their Buy One, Give One campaign.
These self-adjustable eyeglasses (pictured here) allow users to correct their own vision. The glasses are distributed by Global Vision 2020.
