I was approached by a deaf man today and I didn't give him money. It was because of lesson #2! He came up to me while I was eating in a fast-food restaurant; being approached by a stranger when I'm eating feels uncomfortable. That said, if I were to add a lesson #4, it would be "Do something eye-catching." A kid came up to me in a Wendy's--yes, I was eating--and asked for money for his basketball team.
