I had the honor to speak last week at the Small Business Innovation Summit & Expo in Charleston, South Carolina. The small-business owners I talked to didn’t think the recession was over, but they did agree now is the time to prepare to take advantage when economic recovery begins.
Visit the Charleston Business Journal to find out what I told the audience.
And I’d love to hear what you’re doing to get ready for recovery!

Hi Rieva, I enjoyed your comments on the subject. Just like you have to buy low in the stock market, small business must prepare for growth when all the chips are down. I think right now small business WANTS to prepare for the uptick but things like health care and taxes are really scaring many – at least that’s what I’m hearing. Social media continues to be the big killer app for small business marketing, so that’s how most will be preparing for the upturn.
